Integration
Turning the completed engineering package into an installed, validated, and trained-on safety system.
Our integration service begins with managing the procurement of material needed to implement the safety upgrade of a machine, including mechanical guards, electrical cabinets, junction boxes, and field components.
Procurement & Planning
Managed material procurement and project timeline
INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING
Two-phase approach that minimizes machine downtime
Validation
Confirms correct, reliable, and compliant operation
Training
Operators and maintenance trained on the new measures
PROCUREMENT & PLANNING
Our integration service begins with managing the procurement of material needed to implement the safety upgrade of a machine, including mechanical guards, electrical cabinets, junction boxes, and field components.
Safe-T-Sense will work closely with your site contact and supporting team members to establish and manage the project timeline for completing the panels and shipping all materials to the plant. We will support the installation of the safety upgrades and follow up with conducting a safety validation on the newly integrated safety system.
Deliverables
- Managed procurement of guards, cabinets, junction boxes, and field components
- Coordination with your site contact and team
- Established and managed project timeline
- Materials shipped to the plant, ready for installation
Installation & Commissioning
Our experience designing and installing risk reduction solutions allows us to efficiently troubleshoot potential wiring/installation issues that could arise during installation. The faster we can get your machine safety solution installed, the shorter the machine downtime, and the sooner your machine is safeguarded and back to running full production.
Safe-T-Sense’s approach to installation and commissioning is separating the project into two phases.
Two Phase Approach
1
PHASE ONE – NO DOWNTIME REQUIRED
Mechanical guarding and other risk reduction solutions installed at a safe distance from hazardous motion, integrated while the machine is running (identified case by case)
1
PHASE TWO – REQUIRES MACHINE DOWNTIME
Completing electrical tie-ins, commissioning the machine, and performing troubleshooting as required
Validation
Once the installation of the risk reduction measures is completed, our engineer will use the validation plan completed in the engineering phase to perform the validation of the risk reduction measures to ensure that they are installed correctly, operate reliably, and meet the requirements of relevant ANSI and ISO standards.
Deliverables
- Uses the validation plan from the engineering phase
- Confirms reliable operation
- Confirms measures are installed correctly
- Confirms compliance with relevant ANSI and ISO standards
Training
After installation and validation of the machine are completed, we will train your personnel on the new risk reduction measures. All your shift operators and maintenance personnel will be trained on the proper use and purpose of the new safety measures.
Deliverables
- Covers proper use of the new safety measures
- Confirms reliable operation
- Training for maintenance personnel
- Covers the purpose behind the new safety measures
