Our integration service begins with managing the procurement of material needed to implement the safety upgrade of a machine, including mechanical guards, electrical cabinets, junction boxes, and field components.
Safe-T-Sense will work closely with your site contact and supporting team members to establish and manage the project timeline for completing the panels and shipping all materials to the plant. We will support the installation of the safety upgrades and follow up with conducting a safety validation on the newly integrated safety system.
Installation and Commissioning
Our experience designing and installing risk reduction solutions allows us to efficiently troubleshoot potential wiring/installation issues that could arise during installation. The faster we can get your machine safety solution installed, the shorter the machine downtime, and the sooner your machine is safeguarded and back to running full production.
Safe-T-Sense’s approach to installation and commissioning is separating the project into two phases. The first phase does not require machine downtime. This phase could include the installation of mechanical guarding and other risk reduction solutions that are installed at a safe distance away from the hazardous motion and can be integrated while the machine is running (identified case by case). The second phase, which will require machine downtime, is used to complete the electrical tie-ins, commission the machine, and perform troubleshooting as required.
Validation
Once the installation of the risk reduction measures is completed, our engineer will use the validation plan completed in the engineering phase to perform the validation of the risk reduction measures to ensure that they are installed correctly, operate reliably, and meet the requirements of relevant ANSI and ISO standards.
Training
After installation and validation of the machine are completed, we will train your personnel on the new risk reduction measures. All your shift operators and maintenance personnel will be trained on the proper use and purpose of the new safety measures.
